Last night after work, we (Rudy, Safina
, Wai
Yan
and myself) went for movie (I AM Legend) at Cineleisure
. The movie is about a brilliant scientist (Robert Neville) who is now the last human survivor in New York City. He is surrounded by Darkseekers
(victims of the plague who have mutated into carnivorous beings who can only exist in the dark and who will devour or infect anyone or anything in their path). Sorta like a vampire/zombie. The storyline is almost alike Resident Evil though. Convinced he’s the last normal man alive, Neville retains his sanity by following a rigorous routine and spends his day roving around Manhattan hunting for other survivors (the infected). Other than that scavenging for food, supplies and faithfully sending out AM radio messages (My name is Robert Neville, I am the survivor living in New York City. I'm broadcasting on all Am frequency. I'll be in South Street Seaport everyday at midday when the sun high at the sky. If you out there….. if anyone out there…. I can provide food, I can provide shelter, I can provide security. Is there anybody out there, anybody….. please.. you're not alone). Desperate to find any other survivors who might be out there.
What I could say about this movie it’s remarkably eerie yet annoyingly larded with cheap horror-film shock effect :-p
